Raising the Standard of

Hands-On Care

Evidence-informed, hands-on continuing education designed to elevate clinical skill, deepen anatomical understanding, and improve real-world treatment outcomes.

The Applied Manual Therapy Institute (AMTI) provides in-person continuing education for licensed healthcare professionals and massage therapists who want to deepen their clinical understanding, refine their hands-on skill, and deliver better outcomes for the patients they serve.

Led by fellowship-trained physical therapists and massage educators, our courses combine modern fascial science, clinical reasoning, and advanced manual therapy techniques in a highly practical learning environment.

Courses currently hosted in South Texas and New England bring advanced manual therapy education directly to practicing clinicians.

Advanced Manual Therapy Education for Serious Practitioners

Our programs are designed for:

• Licensed Massage Therapists seeking advanced certification
• Physical Therapists
• Occupational Therapists
• Chiropractors
• Physicians and other licensed providers

Participants should have a foundational understanding of anatomy and manual therapy. From that base, our courses build advanced layers of clinical assessment, fascial science, biomechanics, and treatment strategy into highly practical hands-on applications.

The Applied Manual Therapy Institute (AMTI) was founded to elevate the standard of hands-on care through advanced, evidence-informed manual therapy education.

  • Our mission is to bridge the gap between traditional bodywork and modern clinical science — equipping dedicated practitioners with the technical precision, clinical reasoning, and anatomical mastery required to deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes.

AMTI offers advanced manual therapy continuing education and a comprehensive Advanced Manual Therapy Certification designed for licensed professionals who want to deepen their expertise and distinguish themselves within the healthcare community.

Our programs are built for clinicians who take their craft seriously — practitioners who want to understand why techniques work, not simply how to perform them.

Graduates of AMTI certification programs will be included in a professional referral directory shared with healthcare providers, allowing physicians and other clinicians to identify highly trained manual therapists they trust when referring patients for care.

OUR APPROACH

Applied Manual Therapy at AMTI focuses on:

• Advanced soft tissue and fascial techniques
• Precise hands-on manual therapy applications
• Instrument-assisted soft tissue methods
• Clinical assessment and treatment strategy
• Performance optimization and pain resolution

Our curriculum centers on the myofascial system as it is understood through current research — not myth, outdated theory, or unexamined tradition.

We emphasize clarity over mystique and physiology over ideology.

Our methods are rooted in refined, non-invasive manual intervention designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance performance through intelligent tissue interaction and clinical reasoning.

Learn from Experienced Clinicians and Educators

AMTI courses are taught by highly credentialed clinicians who combine decades of clinical experience with a deep commitment to education. Our instructors bring advanced manual therapy concepts into clear, practical instruction that clinicians can immediately apply in their treatment rooms.
